AFTERGLOW...

What can I say about Broken Mended this year.... AWESOME. INSPIRING. UNEXPECTED. MIRACULOUS.... Every year is so different. We hardly know what to expect, except that God always shows up, and the out pouring of His Spirit is made evident through most all who attend. We laughed, cried, sang and rejoiced. Sisters. Friends. Handmaidens of the Most High...


This year about 40 women, young and old, gathered at Total Praise & Worship Center in the metro area of Indianapolis to listen to our two Saturday speakers share about their lives after spending years in debilitating relationships. Like true sisters we felt the sorrows of their process, and in the end rejoiced over their triumphs. All felt empowered as God use different ones to pray and speak words of life to others.

After the conference, we passed out the little love gifts we always provide, and being to share a meal when something extraordinary happened...  The journey to wholeness inspired more women to come forth and share poems of brokenness and healing. It was AWESOME.  Their truths made us all feel closer to each other and was the ribbon on the bond we now share.

Since Sunday I am continuing to receive more praise reports about the work God did this weekend, and I am affirmed in this work... Already we are thinking about next year. But in the meantime, we are also thinking about how we can better encourage and be of service to women in need. I hope this blog will provide us with the opportunity to dialogue with many of you across the world. That we may pray together for our sisters and each other.

For now we are resting in the afterglow... But we are not content to stay there. Please feel free to share your stories, ideas, and interest, as Broken Mended continues to grow as God sees fit.
