TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR WOMEN
In June 2004, Pastors Ric and Sue Thomas opened The Love of God Dwelling Place, as a transitional home for women. Obtaining a space in the home requires a referral from a pastor, ministry, Department of Correction or an agency that has some knowledge or history of the individual.
Residents of the home are encouraged to attend bible studies and church on Sundays, and to attend their AA and NA and all court ordered meetings. Love of God partners with additional agencies throughout the metropolitan Indianapolis area to provide life skills and vocational training to assist the women in their journey back to productive happy lives.
The Love of God is truly a home away form home. With Sister Sue's unique attention to style and details, the home is beautifully decorated and is a very serene environment that includes a library with all types of books and tapes to help encourage the women. Love of God has the distinction of opening and operating for the past six years solely through the generosity of Total Praise and Worship Center contributions and other private donations.
